The Awakening Magazine is an independent art publication showcasing artists from Ventura County and beyond.
This magazine is built through open submissions and instinctive curation. Each volume becomes a record of the artists, ideas, and moments that shape our time.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Submissions open May 24 and close June 12
Selected artists will be notified in July
Artists can choose between two submission options:
Free submission includes only 1 artwork submission.
Expanded submission ($5) Includes up to 3 total images.
LAYOUT FOR VOL.8
This volume will feature a salon-style layout.
Some artists may receive a full page, while others may be grouped with complementary works.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS
Maximum file size: 10MB per image
300 DPI recommended
Images should be cropped and presentation-ready
Avoid distracting shadows or poor lighting
IMPORTANT
The information you provide may be used directly in the magazine.
Please review your responses carefully. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation matter for accurate printing.

Artists may submit a single work or a small portfolio for a more complete consideration :

You can add more images of your work in sets of 3 for $5 each
Single Image Submission
Submit 1 artwork for consideration.This is an introductory option that presents a single image rather than a full body of work
