aka Shades of Expression

Another one of our in house creations. We asked specific artists to send in completely black and white work. It became something like a sampler of what the magazine provides. These came in two sizes, 8.5 inches and 4.25 inches.

While writing this entry, I am still taken back by our approach to this one. It feels like a distant memory. Like being reminded that your favorite color used to be something else. Deja vu?

There is no real history of this project online, just what we remember. I can still picture cutting them down, stapling each one, and getting them ready by hand.

We ended up going to Davis, California for their ceramic convention, hilariously titled CCACA, and gave a lot of these away.

Since these were not part of the main volumes, they have not been remade or really asked about since. I hope some of them are still out there.
